Daikin AC Troubleshooting

Daikin AC Troubleshooting
The following incidents do not indicate a malfunctioning air conditioner and have explanations. The air conditioner can continue to operate.
Case: Operation does not start soon.
Explanation: This is to protect the air conditioner. You should wait for about 3 minutes.
Case: Hot air does not fl ow out soon after the start of HEAT operation.
Explanation: The air conditioner is warming up. You should wait for 1 to 4 minutes.
Case: The HEAT operation stops suddenly and a flowing sound is heard.
Explanation: The system is taking away the frost on the outdoor unit. You should wait for about 4 to 12 minutes.
Case: The outdoor unit emits water or steam.
Explanation:
In HEAT operation; The frost on the outdoor unit melts into water or steam when the air conditioner is in defrost operation.
In COOL or DRY operation; Moisture in the air condenses into water on the cool surface of outdoor unit piping and drips.
Case: Mist comes out of the indoor unit.
Explanation:
This happens when the air in the room is cooled into mist by the cold airflow during COOL operation.
This is because the air in the room is cooled by the heat exchanger and becomes mist during defrost operation.
Case: The indoor unit gives out odor
Explanation:
This happens when smells of the room, furniture, or cigarettes are absorbed into the unit and discharged with the airflow. If this happens, it is recommended to have the indoor unit washed by a technician. Consult the service shop where you purchased the air conditioner.
Case: The outdoor fan rotates while the air conditioner is not in operation.
Explanation:
After operation is stopped; The outdoor fan continues rotating for another 60 seconds for system protection.
While the air conditioner is not in operation; When the outdoor temperature is very high, the outdoor fan starts rotating for system protection.
Case: Operation stopped suddenly. (OPERATION lamp is on.)
Explanation: For system protection, the air conditioner may stop operating on a sudden large voltage fluctuation. It automatically resumes operation in about 3 minutes.
Case: No remote controller signals are displayed. Remote controller sensitivity is low. Display is low in contrast or blacked out. Display runs out of control.
Explanation: The batteries are dying and the remote controller is malfunctioning. Replace all the batteries with new size batteries, AAA.LR03 (alkaline). For details, refer to set the batteries of this manual.
Case: Possible sounds.
Explanation:
Flowing water; Generated because the refrigerant in the air conditioner is flowing. This is a pumping sound of the water in the air conditioner and heard when the water is pumped out from the air conditioner in cooling or drying operation. The refrigerant flows in the air conditioner even if the air conditioner is not working when the indoor units in other rooms are in operation.
Blowing; Generated when the flow of the refrigerant in the air conditioner is switched over
Pinging; Generated when the size of the air conditioner slightly expands or shrinks as a result of temperature changes.
Case: The air conditioner does not operate
Check:
Is a breaker off or a fuse blown?
Is there a power failure?
Are batteries set in the remote controller?
Is the timer setting correct?
Case: Cooling (Heating) effect is poor
Check:
Are the air fi lters clean?
Is there anything to block the air inlet or the outlet of the indoor and the outdoor units?
Is the temperature setting appropriate?
Are the windows and doors closed?
Are the airfl ow rate and the airfl ow direction set appropriately?
Case: Operation stopped suddenly
Check:
Are the air fi lters clean?
Is there anything to block the air inlet or the outlet of the indoor and the outdoor units?
Clean the air fi lters or take all obstacles away and turn the breaker off. Then turn it on again and try operating the air conditioner with the remote controller. If the lamp still flashes, call the service shop where you purchased the air conditioner.
Are operation modes all the same for indoor units connected to outdoor units in the multi system?
Case: An abnormal functioning happens during operation
Check: The air conditioner may malfunction with lightning or radio waves. Turn the breaker off, turn it on again and try operating the air conditioner with the remote controller.
Case: The louvers do not immediately swing. The louvers move soon after startup
Check: The air conditioner is adjusting the louvers position. The louvers will start moving soon

Error Codes in my Whirlpool Front Load Washer

Error CodeErrorPossible Solution
LOC or LCControl Lock has been activatedTouch the Control Lock button, or (on older models) determine which button activates control lock from your Owner’s Manual. Some models require you to press and hold the button.
dETDetergent cartridge not detected in the dispenser. This is on select models. If you are using single-load doses of detergent, ignore this message.
Ensure the dispenser cartridge is inserted correctly and the dispenser drawer is shut completely.
IntThe cycle was paused or canceled. The washer may take 20 to 30 minutes to stop spinning and drain, and will display this error code during that time.
To remove the code, press pause or cancel button twice and the power button once. If the code is still displayed, unplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute.
rL or F34Items were detected in the washer during the Clean Washer cycle.Remove items from the drum and restart the Clean Washer cycle.
Sud or SdThere are too many suds in the washing machine. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When “Sud” or “Sd” is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the tumbling and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This pause and rinsing are necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds.
Make sure you are using HE or High Efficiency detergent. Find more information on HE Detergent use in your Washer.
If you used “no splash” or “easy pour” liquid chlorine bleach, you could also have too many suds. This type of liquid chlorine bleach contains a thickening agent that may create excess suds in washers. If this is the case, run the washer with regular liquid bleach products.
The Sud or Sd code may also be the result of a restricted drain hose or standpipe (drainpipe). Make sure that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Find more information on How to Install the Drain Hose.
F5 E2The door is not locking properly.Check that there are no items blocking the door and it is closing completely. Press the Pause or Cancel button twice and the Power button once to clear the code.
F7 E1Indicates a motor speed sensing error,The motor can not achieve the correct speed for the cycle selection. Check that:
All the shipping bolts have been removed
The washer has not been overloaded
Press the Pause or Cancel button twice and the Power button once to clear the code.
F8 E1 or LO FLThe washer is sensing a low flow of water.Check that:
The household water supply is turned on and both the cold and the hot water faucets or valves are fully open.
The water inlet hoses are not kinked (learn more about How to check your Fill Hoses if your Washer is not Filling)
There are no anti-flood hoses and controls in the water line connected to the washer (learn more about Should I use Flood Safe Devices on my Front Load Washer
Press the Pause or Cancel button twice and the Power button once to clear the code.
F8 E2Indicates there is a problem with the Dispenser SystemThis is on select models. Verify detergent drawer or detergent cartridge is not clogged with detergent. Find more information on How do I clean my washer dispensers?
F9 E1Indicates that drain times are longer than expected, typically over eight (8) minutes.Make sure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Use the U-shaped drain hose form on the drain hose. The standpipe (drainpipe) height requirements are 96″ (244 cm) maximum and 39″ (99 cm) minimum.
Find more information on How to Install the Drain Hose.
Excessive suds may also cause delays in draining. Make sure you are using HE detergent.
Other F# E# codeIndicates other errorUnplug the washer or disconnect the power for one minute and reconnect it again. Reselect the cycle and press Start. If the code persists, Contact Us or Schedule Service Online so a qualified technician can diagnose the washer.
